My husband brother and myself stayed at the red cedars I-O-W, it was like home from home beautifully decorated and stylish we all loved it there so peaceful too everything you needed was there, a very pretty garden with lovely flowers and seating outside which was a bonus to us as the weather was gorgeous the first two days for late September, very comfortable stay and lovely welcome pack which we thought was very kind gesture. I sent email to owner to tell her how much we enjoyed our stay she sent me a reply which was lovely, everything about the red cedars appeal to us all, and would highly recommend it to both young and older guests. Thank you to homes from homes with your friendly and professional help with booking this holiday also to the red cedars owner. What wonderful memories we will always have and when we come back to I-O-W we will definitely book again without hesitation

We have rented many cottages but never one as ideal as this. Firstly it is a chalet rather than a true cottage and the amount of space available is a bit tight. Who cares? This is all you need for a perfect holiday at a very reasonable price. Red Cedars is very recently refurbished. All the decor is immaculate in a New England seaside theme. Light and airy and with personal touches and a sense of humour on every corner. A lot of work has gone into this you cannot help but smile. The owner's have tried to plan and provide for every eventuality they succeeded. TV in every room, dvds, games etc. We even made good use of all the maps provided and binoculars. We are used to welcome packs but this was another level thank you. The personal welcome card was something very special and much appreciated. The kitchen was well appointed and left us wanting for nothing. The lounge the cosiest you will ever see. There is a very pretty well maintained garden giving total privacy. If you fancy lean over the garden gate under the rose arch and see how many rabbits you can count in the field.
Red Cedars is a perfect getaway all facilities are provided and at an excellent standard. The strength of this place though is its location. Sitting and having a meal and some wine in the garden is a total escape. When the tide is in you hear the waves gently lapping on the rocks at the bottom of Culver cliff. When the tide is out you hear silence. I mean total silence which is a truly precious commodity. The view is good from the cottage however a ten minute walk up on Culver cliff gives you a view like no other. If you want a break providing total relaxation Red Cedars can not be more strongly recommended. We will definitely be back and thank you for this little gem.
John and Rohini.

My girlfriend and i stayed here for 5 days in early September 2016. Absolutely loved it. Great, very well equipped chalet,Beautiful location with views across the bay. The seating up on the lookout was a great place to chill out with a cuppa or your favorite tipple. The chalet has everything you would hope for. Decorated lovely with an attention to detail. The kitchen well equipped with good quality items. We know the island well so knew where we were. Unless you're planning on walking alot you will tend to use the car when you venture out. That said, there's a good pub with far reaching views a sharp hike above and a great little beach with cafe below. If you're feeling energetic you can go over the top of Culver down and walk into Sandown for shops, pubs Pier etc.
Can't wait to go back

The chalet had everything you needed for an enjoyable holiday, and the superb location made it ideal. If you enjoy walking the location means you are ideally situated to complete numerous circular walks, and thus enjoy the wonderful views that the eastern Wight offers.
